At Panache Style we have the opportunity to work with amazing people all the time. It’s one of the reasons why I love my job so much. I know that we spend a lot of time talking about our brides and their beautiful weddings. We love it, love it, love it! But that isn’t all we do at Panache Style.

Recently my team and I had the deep honor and privilege of designing an event for Achievement and Rehabilitation Centers (ARC) Broward for children with autism, down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities.

We got to work right away and designed a Dr. Suess themed event that looked like it jumped right out of the pages of a Dr. Suess book! Oh my, it was AMAZING!

ARC Broward was gracious enough to invite me and my staff and Robert, Jose and I were excited to go. I have been to galas for organizations before, and let me tell you, the ARC event was absolutely phenomenal. What was it that made it so special? The children and their families were there. Seeing them enjoy the decorations and the entire night did my heart good.

Below you will see some of the images that our resident artistic genius Robert Tabor drew up before the event. Of course, there are also the after shots of how everything actually looked.

It was an amazingly successful event and all of us at Panache Style loved being a part of it. It means a great deal to me to be able to give back to our community and it was an absolute honor helping the ARC and bringing a smile to the faces of those little angels.

You know, I never know what’s going to happen when I first sit down with a bride. Everyone is so unique and has their own vision of their special day. Now honey, believe it or not, but sometimes we don’t see eye to eye right away.

My beautiful bride Brooke and her amazing fiancée Tommy became husband and wife a few weeks ago in a fabulous ceremony that was followed by a breathtaking reception. There was one tiny detail that I wasn’t a fan of . . . at least at the beginning.

Brooke wanted to have live fish in her centerpieces! That’s right: live fish! Now I may be many things, but a pet store owner or fisherman I am not! In honesty I didn’t think it was the greatest idea and I didn’t know how long fish would survive in a Panache Style centerpiece!

Brooke was very firm on her fish and she brought in a professional who knew how to do these kinds of things. In the end I agreed and the results were just amazing! Not only did the fish make it through the night, but they also were given away to guests of the wedding! Oh my god, I’ve never seen anything like it before!

Now I believe that everything happens for a reason. Brooke and Tommy also had us create a gorgeous chuppah, but bad weather prevented us from setting it up outside. Not a problem, we just moved it inside and it was amazing! Many people don’t realize what an impact the proper lighting can have on a wedding’s décor, but just look at the pictures below!

Kerry Millhiser of Kerry’s Papery (what beautiful menu cards!) and Jay Guttveg of Creative Focus Photography also made this wedding flawless!

I promise you that things have been going great here at Panache Style and we have had the honor and privilege to work with the most amazing brides and businesses. Sometimes, when I have time to slow down and catch my breath, I think about how much difference a year makes.

I have always been blessed to be around wonderful, amazing people, but especially in the last few months things have just been unbelievable. I wanted to take a moment to recognize my Panache Style Team.

We have had some new faces come to Panache Style who I can tell are just going to bring us to the next level; Sara, my personal assistant, Tom our new Design Room Manager and Robert the most amazing Artist and Designer in the world.  In addition, we have the ever so awesome Jose and David, the men who gets things done, Pedro and his beautiful wife Yanice, and of course, Tony and Brittany our most talented floral designers are absolutely wonderful.

Without them we wouldn’t be able to do the FABULOUS things that we do. I truly consider myself blessed and I am so excited for the future. They are all hard workers and brilliant creative inspirations. I can’t wait for you all to meet them when you come into the shop to prepare for your wedding or event!

Everyone says that if you want great things to happen, surround yourself with greatness and honey, I can tell you these people are the greatest in the industry!

Okay, now it’s time to get back to work making everything beautiful!

How do you tell someone about how FABULOUS their wedding or event is going to be?! I know that one of the hardest things for a creative person to do is explain to someone what something will look like, but honey, have faith: at Panache Style we bring it!

Several months ago, an absolutely gorgeous bride (Jamie) and her handsome fiancé (Robert) hired Panache Style to help transform the Pelican Grand Beach Resort into the location of their dream wedding. I can tell you that the location is absolutely beautiful and the couple couldn’t wait and neither could we!

At one of our consultations, our bride expressed some concerns that she had about some of the specific locations that were going to be used at the hotel. For example, the tent where the reception was going to be held had some pretty prominent supports that she was worried would be an eyesore.

Not a problem at all!

At Panache Style, it isn’t only about flowers. It’s about Fabulousness and that can come in all forms. We took care of the entire décor for the event.

We scouted the location and our resident artist, Robert Tabor, created sketches for the bride. We showed them to you in a previous blog that can be seen here.

Well let me tell you, the concept sketches were amazing, but the real thing took our breath away!

Look bellow at the pictures of this gorgeous wedding! Photos were taken by the ever talented Steven Lawson from Michelle Lawson Photography . . .and honey, you know they just gave me chills!

Our flowers and décor are amazing but when you have a beautiful couple like Jamie and Robert (and we mean beautiful inside and out), the event truly becomes FABULOUS!

I am soooo grateful that it has been busy at Panache Style for the last several months, but honey, sometimes it is just necessary to sit down and catch your breath. Oh my god, it can get insane and before you know it you can get so stressed that you find yourself in trouble!

I know that we all have stress in our lives. No matter who you are or what you do, there are stressful things that happen. Years ago I really started to pay attention to making sure that I didn’t let stress take over and I discovered something so amazingly simple that I almost don’t believe it!

And you can do it right at home.

Now I’m not talking about yoga or meditation or even a glass of wine (although wine does help!). No, honey I’m talking about flowers. Surprised? You shouldn’t be! It’s all about flowers all the time . . . didn’t you know that?!

I put flowers in my home. Nothing crazy, nothing too fancy, just some simple, beautiful flowers here and there can make such a world of difference I can’t even begin to tell you!

I know what you’re thinking: “Bobby, not all of us have a booming floral décor company where we can have flowers in our house all the time. What are we going to do?!” Well honey, trust me, take the time to stop somewhere and get yourself some flowers and put them anywhere in your house where you will see them.

Nothing, and I mean nothing, helps make your home a FABULOUS, relaxing space like flowers. Believe it! You’ll be thanking me.

Oh my goodness! You know every day I am in awe of how blessed I am. Truly. Right now I have the greatest people in my life and I am surrounded by positive energy and today is a day that I realize it even more than usual!

This morning, fourteen of my Panache Style team and friends all got in a bus and headed over to the B Ocean Hotel for Easter Brunch before we went to Easter Service. It just so happens that we did the fabulous arrangements for the B Ocean (images below)!

Today is a joyful day for me on many levels. My faith is a huge part of who I am and it has gotten me through some difficult times. This morning, at brunch, as I was sitting with all of the amazing people in my life I got very excited about the future.

Panache Style is a dream. I left a very lucrative job to follow this dream five years ago. It hasn’t always a smooth ride; I have learned some hard lessons. But today, on this Easter Sunday, I know that the dream I chose to pursue five years ago is a reality and it is only going to get better.

I hope that all of you have the faith to follow your dreams. Honey, let me tell you, follow your heart and it will never lead you wrong. There may be difficult times ahead but with faith, hard work and by surrounding yourself with FABULOUS people you’re going to be fine! Trust me. I know!

Wherever you are today, no matter what faith you follow or your beliefs, I wish you the best! Gather with your family and friends and fill yourself with JOY!

Buuuut, I realize that not every event or situation calls for an eye-popping layout or design. That’s okay, because honey, let me tell you something: Just because it isn’t lavish doesn’t mean that it can’t be elegant and FABULOUS!

We recently did a beautiful set up for one of our weddings at the Bonnet House. The whole atmosphere was magical . . . there were swans swimming right next to us I kid you not! Our bride didn’t want a lot of flowers and wanted to accentuate the natural environment.

As you can see, the stone façade of this “dry fountain” is striking enough. We wanted to create something that was simple, but that also looked natural in the environment. We came up with the tall candelabras and adorned them with the faintest hint of variegated ivy and moss. We added a cross to the top and the whole result was to create a simple yet beautiful wedding altar.

And of course, because I couldn’t resist, I put a few sprinkles of rose petals on the ground leading up to the fountain/altar!

Honey, you can take the designer out of the garden, but you can’t take the garden out of designer!

Just remember that not everything has to be extravagant. Simplicity has its own beauty and at Panache Style, we will always find that beauty and make it shine!

I love spring and I started to think about my absolute favorite spring flower . . . the daffodil! The daffodil is also called the Jonquil, or for those of you who really want to get technical, the Narcissus Pseudonarcissus! Ok dear, I may not be able to say the technical name out loud (or spell it without a dictionary), but I can say that these amazing, annual beauty bloomers are simply BREATHTAKING in vased arrangements.

The daffodil comes in three colors: White, Yellow (my favorite) and Bicolor, which is just silly!

The meanings of the daffodil are numerous and include unrequited love, regard, “You’re the only one”, rebirth, new beginnings, hope and, for some reason beyond my understanding, deceitfulness (but we can just forget about that one. It will be our little secret!). It is also the birth flower for March and is the common flower of the 10^th wedding anniversary.

But ohhh….even something so beautiful can’t last forever. Daffodils tend to die very quickly. Their life spans are a mere 3 to 6 days in fresh water and even less if they are in an oasis foam arrangement. Perhaps the reason I love them so much is because of the short time we get to enjoy them. Their vibrancy outshines ever other spring flower on the planet . . . trust me! They’re like little bursts of sunshine that you can put in your hair or somewhere else if you want to be daring! Ohhhhh my!

Three weeks ago, Panache Style created arrangements for a wedding at the Pelican Grand that included daffodils. They were absolutely spectacular. Steve Lawson of Michelle Lawson Photography captured these amazing pictures of our centerpieces! He’s FABULOUS just like me!

The tables were monochromatic and the daffodils took the ribbon for the most fanciful Spring flower on the table even putting the ever-so-common tulip to shame!

I have to admit, I rarely take flowers home from my events, but I had to sneak a couple of left over bunches home where they lasted for over a week! Ohhhhh…it was like a special present from Heaven!

My strong suggestion, and honey when I make a suggestion you better listen, is to stop by Whole Foods or any local flower shop and grab a bunch of daffodils (10 for $10) and put them in a vase all by their FABULOUS selves and add a little spring sunshine to your home. Even for the owner of a floral design company, flowers in the home make you feel just special and, as always, FABULOUS!

Honey, it’s true! Go find a friend or a family member who is artistic and ask them to explain in words something that they want to paint, draw, sculpt or create. There’s a good chance that you’ll fall asleep before you can see what they imagine. This doesn’t always happen, but it happens a lot! When you have someone FABULOUS explaining everything it’s easier, of course, but I’ve always found that art best explains art.

Right now, Panache Style is the beneficiary of a unique talent that has helped me show my brides and clients what our artistic vision is instead of having to try to explain it. Let me tell you, you know that when you come to Panache Style everything is going to be fabulous and flawless. . . . that goes without saying, BUT I love being able to show you what your wedding or event is going to look like before it even takes place!

Look at the pictures below. These were taken at our shop, but they had just been used to show a huge client what their centerpieces were going to be. We had described them weeks before, Robert drew the color sketches below and the final product that we created is there for you to see as well.

Flawless? Yes.

Fabulous? Did you really expect anything else?
